It is HEREBY NOTIFIED for public information and comment that the local government has received an application to develop land for the purpose described hereunder

Organisations are invited to apply for assistance for projects, events or activities planned for the 2026/27 financial year. The Shire’s policy on Donations to Community Organisations applies.

The Shire of Christmas Island’s appointed contractor will be commencing part 1 of the un-homed chicken control from the 5th of June through till 19th June inclusive. In this first round of control, Roosters and Chicks will be the focus in any/all residential areas. Accompanying this will be large scale reductions in area of dense activity namely but not limited to the Cemetery and Waste Facility.
