The Shire of Christmas Island’s appointed contractor will be commencing part 1 of the un-homed chicken control from the 5th of June through till 19th June inclusive. In this first round of control, Roosters and Chicks will be the focus in any/all residential areas. Accompanying this will be large scale reductions in area of dense activity namely but not limited to the Cemetery and Waste Facility.

Residents are advised that the following road will be temporary closed for road works to be carried out. This will be a full reconstruction of this section of road making it an 8m wide bitumen sealed road.
