The Shire of Christmas Island is seeking community comment on the resolution 44/23 of the Ordinary Council Meeting of June 27th. 

The Commonwealth of Australia has advised that it is creating an ordinance in relation to the  application of new state legislation in local government. Possible changes that may happen  may include reduction in the number of Councillors available to Christmas and the Cocos (Keeling) Island residents and the institution of an optional preferential voting system.

Komen Komuniti Diminta Mengenai Reformasi Kerajaan Tempatan 2023 

Shire Pulau Krismas sedang mencari komen dari komuniti mengenai resolusi 44/23  mesyuarat majlis biasa pada 27 Jun. 

Komanwel Australia telah menasihatkan bahawa ia sedang mewujudkan ordinan berhubung  dengan pemakaian perundangan negeri baharu dalam kerajaan tempatan. Kemungkinan  perubahan yang akan berlaku termasuk pengurangan bilangan Ahli Majlis yang tersedia  untuk Krismas dan penduduk Pulau Cocos (Keeling) dan institusi sistem pengundian pilihan  keutamaan.
