An in person ordinary election will be held on Saturday 21 October 2023 to fill four (4) vacancies for the Shire of Christmas Island.

Notice is provided of:

The names of the candidates and respective offices for which they are nominating.

The polling place(s) appointed for each election, including the place or places appointed for casting early and absent votes.

Votes counted (including use of counting software) indicated on ballot papers are to be recorded at the Chief Polling Place, unless otherwise stated in the information below.

Voting Details:

Vote at the Polling Place on Election Day, between 8.00am and 6.00pm.

An Early Vote can be cast between the 9.00am and 4.00pm from 25th of September 2023 to Friday the 20th of October 2023 at the offices of the Shire of Christmas Island, George Fam Centre Murray Road Christmas Island during normal office hours set out below.

An Absent Vote can be cast in accordance with section 4.67 of the Local Government Act (CI) 1995 between the 25th of September 2023 and 4.00pm on Tuesday 17th of October 2023 at the offices of any Western Australian local government. All local governments will be requested to forward absent votes to the Shire of Christmas Island PO Box 863 , Christmas Island WA 6798.

A postal vote can be obtained by application. Completed postal votes must be returned in the reply paid envelopes provided and received by the Returning Officer by 6.00pm on election day Saturday, 21 October 2023.

投票详细信息：

投票人可在选举当日上午8点至下午6点在投票站投票。

投票人也可以在2023年9月25日至2023年10月20日星期五上午9点至下午4点之间，在以下规定的正常办公时间内在圣诞岛默里路乔治法姆中心的圣诞岛郡办公室进行提前投票。

缺席投票可根据1995年《地方政府法》第4.67条的规定，于2023年9月25日至2023年10月17日（星期二）下午4点在任何西澳大利亚州地方政府办公室进行。所有地方政府将被要求将缺席投票转交WA圣诞岛863号圣诞岛郡邮政信箱6798。

邮寄投票可以通过申请获得。已完成的邮寄选票必须在选举日（2023年10月21日星期六）下午6点之前，装在由选举主任提供并收到的付费信封中，寄回选举主任处。

Pilihan raya biasa secara peribadi akan diadakan pada hari Sabtu 21 Oktober 2023 untuk mengisi empat (4) kekosongan untuk Shire Pulau Krismas.

Notis diberikan tentang:

Nama-nama calon dan pejabat masing-masing yang mereka calonkan.

Tempat mengundi yang ditetapkan untuk setiap pilihan raya, termasuk tempat atau tempat-tempat yang ditetapkan untuk melakukan undi awal dan undi tidak hadir.

Undian yang dikira (termasuk penggunaan software pengiraan) yang ditunjukkan pada kertas undi hendaklah direkodkan di Ketua Tempat
